Brain Carnival is a project featuring characters based on the 2000 Series from Taiko no Tatsujin, which is a group of songs well known for their high difficulty and often weird, distinct themes.

Because I love the 2000 series, and i like anthropomorphizing things. I thought creating characters based on the songs would make a fun cast.
